Owner Atlas

About Owner Atlas

Software picks from someone who signs the paychecks.

I’m Shanin Drucquer. I own Iconic Landscaping, and I built Owner Atlas to help other owners pick software without wading through sales pages.

Most software advice is written to sell you something. Owner Atlas is written to help you choose, and to say plainly where every fact comes from.

Why an owner

The details that decide whether software works for you only show up when you run a business on it.

Payroll

I sign the paychecks.

My crew gets paid through Gusto. Setup took about an hour, and when two tax notices showed up, I found out what the support is actually like.

Books

I keep the books.

QuickBooks Online holds everything. Payroll comes in through the bank feed, wages and taxes in their own categories, because the sync double-counted it when I tried.

Hours

I track the hours.

Hours live in Jobber and go into Gusto before each payroll. Handoffs like that are the part most reviews skip.

Research

Every page gets the same research.

Every page is built from official pricing pages and help docs, dated, with sources linked. Where I run the tool myself, you get my notes and mistakes too.
