Bundle every module up front
Buyers report the best discounts come before signing. Adding modules later happens at list price.
Ask to waive implementation
A competing quote from Gusto or another provider is the usual lever to get the setup fee cut or dropped.
Cap the renewal increase
Ask for the yearly increase in writing, or for none at all. Buyers report 5–7% as the default.
Sign near quarter end
Sales teams have quotas. Buyers report extra free months when signing in the last weeks of a quarter.
Check the startup program
US startups backed by venture capital can get Rippling free for 6 months.
Rippling’s floor is $40 + $8/employee a month. With payroll, estimates put it near $40 + $16/employee, and adding benefits brings it to about $40 + $21/employee. Larger teams adding IT and spend management report $30–50 per employee.
